A parting expression meaning 'take it easy' or 'be careful,' spoken primarily by natives of Butte, Montana. It dates to the city's hard-rock mining era, when miners packing dynamite into drilled holes had to tap each charge gently to avoid setting off an explosion. Today it functions as a warm goodbye with deep local pride.
