Help us keep the lights on
Dialectly is free. There are no ads, no paywall, no "premium" tier. The whole dictionary will stay open as long as we can keep it running — and a donation is what keeps it running.
What your contribution goes toward. Strictly the development and support of the project: hosting the website and the API, paying for backups, and the time of the small team building the dictionary. Nothing else. Not a political cause, not humanitarian aid — just the dictionary you're reading right now.
This page is open to anyone who'd like to help, in any amount. If you got something useful from a word page, a state page, or the map, and you can spare even a couple of dollars, you're keeping the lights on for the next reader.
The payment page is hosted by PrivatBank at privat24.ua (the Ukrainian bank that runs the team's account). It accepts international cards, no sign-up needed. 100% of what you send goes into the operating costs above.
Other ways to help
Donations are wonderful, but they're not the only way to support the project. Most of the things that make a small dictionary survive don't cost a thing:
- Use it. Look up a word. Browse your state. Open a region you've never been to.
- Tell us what's wrong or missing. One sentence to soloviy.app@gmail.com moves a word from "almost right" to "right."
- Share it. Send a friend a word from their hometown. Mention us in a class. Link to a region page in an article.
Thank you in advance to everyone who decides to chip in. We see every contribution, and we don't take it for granted.
