Hi-Line

The informal name for the band of northern Montana running along US Highway 2 and the old Great Northern (now BNSF) rail line near the Canadian border. It strings together farming and ranching towns such as Havre, Chinook, Malta and Glasgow across roughly 500 miles. The name comes from the route being the northernmost transcontinental rail line in the country.
