What does “Awful Awful” mean
An Awful Awful ('awful big and awful good') is a thick milkshake made with proprietary ice milk and flavored syrups. It originated at Bond's, a New Jersey ice cream chain, in the 1940s and was licensed in 1948 to Rhode Island's Newport Creamery, which bought the trademark outright when Bond's closed and still serves it today. For Rhode Islanders it is the milkshake; Friendly's, which also held a license, had to rebrand its version as a 'Fribble.'
