What does “Aksarben” mean

Coined in 1895 by a group of Omaha businessmen who founded the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben as a Mardi-Gras-style civic booster club for the state. The name now attaches to a neighborhood, a former horse track/coliseum site and a mixed-use development in Omaha; Nebraskans pronounce it 'ack-sar-ben' and instantly recognize it as the state name reversed.
