What does “Zonie” mean

Zonie is slang for an Arizona resident, originally coined (mildly disparagingly) by Southern Californians for the flood of Arizonans who jam San Diego and Newport Beach motels every summer to escape Phoenix and Tucson's 110-degree heat. The term has since been reclaimed by Arizonans themselves as a badge of desert pride, showing up on T-shirts and apparel brands. Outside the Southwest, hardly anyone knows it.
