Tag sale

In Connecticut and the rest of New England, a private sale of secondhand household goods on someone's lawn or driveway is a 'tag sale,' named for the price tags attached to the items. Elsewhere in the U.S. the same event is called a yard sale or garage sale. Asking a Connecticut resident what they call it is a reliable dialect test.
