What does “chislic” mean

Bite-size cubes of red meat (traditionally mutton or lamb) deep-fried rare, salted, and served with toothpicks and soda crackers as a bar snack. Declared South Dakota's official state 'nosh' in 2018 and effectively unknown outside the Dakotas.
