What does “Fluffernutter” mean
A southern New Hampshire and Massachusetts lunchbox staple: two slices of white bread, peanut butter on one, Marshmallow Fluff on the other. Fluff was invented in Somerville in 1917 and the 'Fluffernutter' name was coined by a Durkee-Mower ad agency in 1960; New Hampshire kids still pronounce it 'fluff-ah-nuttah'. There is a recurring (failed) campaign to make it the official Massachusetts state sandwich.
