What does “Piney” mean
Pineys are the traditional inhabitants of the 1.1-million-acre Pine Barrens in South Jersey, descended from settlers who built a self-sufficient economy from cranberry farming, cedar logging, and bog-iron mining. Bumper stickers reading 'Piney Pride' are common in the region today.
