Booyah

A thick, multi-meat stew (beef, chicken, and/or pork) packed with carrots, potatoes, and onions, cooked outdoors in giant cast-iron kettles for up to two days. Belgian (Walloon) immigrants brought it to northeastern Wisconsin in the 1800s; the name probably comes from a Walloon word for broth or boiling. It is a fixture of church picnics, VFW fundraisers, and county fairs in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan's Upper Peninsula, Green Bay's minor-league baseball team is even called the Booyah.
