What does “pasty” mean
A hand-held baked turnover stuffed with beef, potato, onion, and rutabaga in a thick crust. Brought to Michigan's Upper Peninsula by Cornish copper and iron miners in the 1800s. (Pronounced 'PASS-tee', not 'PAY-stee'.)
