Big Red

Big Red is a red-colored cream soda invented in Waco, Texas in 1937 by Grover C. Thomsen and R.H. Roark. It is the preeminent red cream soda in the South and is closely tied to Texas food culture, where it is the customary pairing with barbacoa tacos on weekends. Outside its home market, most Americans have never heard of it.
