What does “Green Country” mean

Used by Oklahomans (and the state tourism board) for the Tulsa-anchored northeast region of the state, named for its hills, lakes and Ozark foothills that contrast with the drier plains farther west. The label is on highway signs and weather maps; outsiders generally have no idea what 'Green Country' refers to.
